While your air conditioner will naturally run more often during hot summer days, that does not mean it should be constantly cycling. If it seems to be turning on and off way more often than normal, it may be time to have it looked at.

Finally, leaks and foul smells coming from the unit can indicate a problem, as can weird noises. Your air conditioning system should also regulate the humidity level inside your home. Therefore, if the air seems sticky to you, there may be an issue.
